I have been working hard behind the scenes to try and understand my position in regard to the upcoming changes with tariffs and to the de minimus rule. Here is where we stand currently - the bad news is that I have currently disabled orders through my website to anyone based in the US. The good news is that this is a temporary change and should just be for a week or so, while the changes are implemented.

My current understanding is that a 10% import tariff will apply to all orders from me here in the UK to you in the States. Although it is an import tariff, the US has stated that all charges must be pre paid before parcels can enter the country. This makes it my duty to collect and pass on the tariff payment on your behalf - it will go from you to me via my website, then to my postal carrier, who then pass it on to the US postal carrier and back to the federal government. I am hoping that the systems needed to collect and transfer this payment will be in place very quickly and so shipping can resume once I have made the necessary changes to my pricing to reflect the additional cost. 

If you have an existing preorder with me, such as an advent or club order I will be contacting you directly in due course. Please rest assured that I will still be able to send you your yarns, and I will work out the best way to do this in due course, once the dust has settled!
